2025 Ram ProMaster EV Lineup Brings In New and $20K Cheaper Cargo Van Option

The step van is still available, and it's more affordable this year as well

After only being available with a $79,990 price tag last year, the Ram ProMaster EV is now significantly less expensive.

Fleets are getting more electric van options year-over-year, expanding the options beyond just the Ford E-Transit or the Mercedes-Benz eSprinter. The Chevrolet BrightDrop (formerly a separate entity before GM merged it into Chevrolet last year) is another contender, as is the Rivian RCV and indeed the Ram ProMaster EV, which jumped into the fray for the 2024 model year. When it did, though, the step van carried a price tag of nearly $80,000…and that’s a far cry from some of the more established rivals. Ram clearly realized that for 2025, as it’s dropping the price for the step van and adding a cargo van that drops the entry-level price more than $20,000 from the launch MSRP.

This time around, the 2025 Ram ProMaster EV starts off at $58,490 including a $1,995 destination fee. For that, you get a single-motor, front-wheel drive setup with 268 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque. Under the floor, there’s a 110-kWh (gross capacity) battery pack promising up to 164 miles of range (the step van, for its part, advertises 180 miles). On a DC fast-charger, Ram says the ProMaster EV will charge at up to 150 kW, enabling a 20-80% charging time of about 55 minutes.

The standard cargo van offers up to 3,020 pounds of payload capacity depending on the configuration, while the step van manages 2,876 pounds before any upfitting.

Unlike last year, 2025’s Ram ProMaster EV lineup also gets an option for different cargo lengths, like the competition. You’ll still get the same 159-inch wheelbase, but you’ll be able to spec the cargo van with a 12-foot cargo length or an extended 13-foot cargo length. All Ram ProMaster EV variants get the same high-roof configuration.

For the cargo van, Ram’s online configurator shows three trims. The base model starts off with that $58,490 price tag, then there are the SLT ($61,485) and SLT+ trims ($65,485) that add in more convenience features to the mix.

2025 Ram ProMaster EV models will arrive at dealerships in the second quarter of this year.
