GM announces options and pricing for the new 2025 Chevy Silverado HD Trail Boss. It is only available as a Silverado 2500 HD LT crew cab 4×4 with a standard bed length. The Trail Boss package itself costs $3,965, but it may require that you add several items in order to get it. These items include the base Z71 equipment that includes skid plates, hill descend control system, and unique suspension. The Trail Boss package also requires that you choose 20-inch wheels and BFG all-terrain tires. When the dust settles, the 2025 Silverado HD Trail Boss with a gasoline 6.6L V8 engine has a starting price of $65,230 (including the $1,995 destination charge).
In case you are wondering, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD WT (base work truck) starts at around $900 higher than the 2024 models.
Here is how it the new Silverado HD Trail Boss compares to the Ram HD Rebel and the Ford F-250 Tremor.
We don’t have any information yet about the refreshed 2025 Ram HD lineup, but the 2024 Ran HD Rebel with a gas V8 engine starts at $69,720 (including destination). The 2024 Ford F-250 Tremor with the 7.3L gas V8 has a starting price of $61,880 (including destination). When you consider these base versions of these off-road trucks, Ford is currently winning the value game. Naturally, as soon as you start adding diesel V8 engines and other options the prices will escalate quickly to over $80,000.
