The refreshed 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor R gets better with more power. The 2023 Raptor R’s 5.2-liter supercharged Predator V8 is rated at 700 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. The new 2024 Raptor R is rated at 720 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. You get a nice 20-horsepower bump and the latest FOX Live-valve dual-valve shocks. Here is how they did and how much the truck costs.

According to Ford, the power increase is enabled by “reduced air inlet losses coupled with an optimized calibration that also results in a wider torque curve.” TFLtruck has owned a long-term 2023 Raptor R, and we can attest that the 5.2L supercharged Predator V8 is a quick-revving gem of an engine. This and the Hellcat 6.2L supercharged V8 from Ram are the pinnacle of internal combustion power in a pickup truck.
The Predator V8 revs quicker and feels a little more responsive than the Hellcat. How will the new 2024 version of the engine behave? Additional horsepower and a fatter torque curve cannot hurt. We will have to wait a bit to drive it, but we cannot wait!
The updated Raptor R still comes with 37-inch all-terrain tires, but the suspension has been updated with semi-active Live adjustable dual valve FOX dampers. The new Raptor R package adds $31,575 to a 2024 F-150 Raptor’s price for a total of $111,550. This is not a big increase over the 2023 model, which started at around $110,000.
