It’s time to put the all-new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV pickup truck to a real-world towing range test. To do this, we got two identical 24-foot car-hauler trailers and a 2021 Ford F-150. This way we can pull two identical trailers on the same route at the same time and see how new electric power compares to gasoline. Here’s what happened.
In this range test, we are using a 2024 Chevy Silverado 4WT pickup with up to 450 miles of estimated driving range. The F-150 is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. Both pickup trucks are AWD/4×4 capable and both are equipped with towing packages.
The trailers we are using are 24-foot car haulers by InTech Trailers. Each trailer is approximately 8.5 feet wide, 8 feet tall, and 24 feet (plus trailer tongue) long. We loaded both trailers to a total weight of 6,500 lbs each.
This video is a huge collaboration. I want to thank the following… Thank you to Chevrolet for loaning us this Silverado EV 4WT pickup. Thank you to Brighton Ford Colorado for finding an F-150 we can use. Thank you to Complete Trailers for allowing us to use two of their InTech Trailers. Thank you to Geny Hitch for supplying us with strong and adjustable hitches. Thank you to Sinclair Fuels for supporting our truck testing. Thank you to Honda Powersports and Polaris Off-road for allowing us to use their side-by-sides.
Huge thanks to Kase, Ian, and the entire allTFL.com team for making this video possible.
