Nissan is teasing us with a special new Nissan Frontier trim. It appears they are bringing the ‘Hardbody’ name back to their truck lineup in the form of a Frontier trim or package. We do not have official specifications yet, because today’s announcement is a tease. Nissan says that we will see this Hardbody continuation story on Sep 14th, 2023.
This is great news for Nissan fans everywhere. We first saw the Nissan Frontier Hardbody concept pickup truck in person at the 2022 Chicago Auto Show. Nissan showed several Frontier concept trucks at the same time. The Hardbody concept caught our attention with a suspension lift, classic/retro wheel design, and a simple attitude.
The original Nissan Hardbody pickup trucks of the D21 generation were named for their tough double-wall truck bed design. While now, every pickup truck has a double wall design, the Hardbody name still has a lot of recognition.
