It’s the end of the road for the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6. The company is marking the occasion with a 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon FarOut special edition that you can order now. Jeep is planning to build just 1,000 of these FarOut Edition midsize pickup trucks. The price starts at $71,790 including destination charges. Yikes!
Jeep Gladiator Rubicon FarOut
The FarOut starts a Rubicon model. The 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 is rated at 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. As Jeep points out, this turbo-diesel is the most torquey midsize truck in the segment. After the diesel V6 goes away, and the Tacoma Hybrid comes out in the Spring of 2024 – the Toyota will have the most torque in the segment with 465 lb-ft from the gas/electric combination.
Here is what the FarOut special edition gets you:

We used to own a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, and it is still one of our favorite pickup trucks. Ours had a gasoline 3.6L Pentastar V6. In the video below, Tommy and I discuss what we love and dislike about our Gladiator Rubi-truck.
