As we reported about a week ago, we now have lots of official 2024 Ram 1500 details. The quick summary is that not much is changing for the 2024 Ram 1500 half-ton pickup trucks. The base trucks remain with the same exterior and interior styling. The base trucks continue with the 3.6L Pentastar V6 and the 5.7L Hemi V8 eTorque-assisted engines. The 702-horsepower 6.2L Hemi Hellcat V8-powered Ram TRX continues for the 2024 model year.
This is very good news, but also bad news. The good news is that the Ram 1500 is very solid. Why fix it if it ain’t broken? However, the competition continues to rachet up the pressure with refreshed and redesigned trucks. The refreshed 2024 Ford F-150 lineup is just a few months away. GM recently updated their Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks. Toyota continues to grow sales with the new 2022+ Toyota Tundra. However, Ram truck sales are decreasing so far this year.
