Ram Brazil publishes this video that shows what appears to be a 2024 Ram Rampage compact pickup truck prototype undergoing real-world testing in many off-road environments. This video is from Brazil, and it says the truck will be produced in Brazil. However, Ram’s North American chief – Mike Koval – makes an appearance in this video.
Is this a hint that this Brazilian small pickup is coming to the U.S. as the rumored 2024 Rampage? We will have to wait a little longer to find out for sure.
Still, we see that this is a unibody pickup truck with an independent rear coil suspension. The video says the truck is powered by a Hurricane-4 engine. This is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. This engine is already available in many Stellantis vehicles. It comes in different tunes, but it can produce 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
This engine would be more than competitive against the turbocharged Ford Maverick 2.0L T AWD and the turbocharged Hyundai Santa Cruze 2.5L T AWD pickups.
