Here it is in all of its glory. The cheapest new full-size 4×4 pickup truck you can buy now. It’s a 2022 Ram 1500 Classic 4WD in Tradesman trim. It’s a two-door regular cab with a short (6’4”) bed. It has a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gas engine under the hood and an 8-speed automatic transmission. This two-door short-bed configuration of the Ram 1500 Classic has been discontinued for 2023. This is now a unicorn new truck.
Roman and the team looked far and wide across the whole country to find the cheapest new full-size pickup truck. It took about a month to find this one. Yes, we found many full-size trucks that are advertised in the low $30K range, but these generally end up being “bait and switch” advertisements. Thankfully, Peterson Auto Group in Boise, Idaho had this new truck in stock. It was just delivered from its factory in Mexico a couple of days ago and we had our name on it.
Roman and Tommy flew into Boise from Denver to drive TFL’s newest truck about 800 miles home. Here is your very first look at the new truck. You can see it inside and out, and hear it start up for the very first time.
