We recently got this ‘Owner Review’ of a Ram 1500 Classic from Victor.

Victor writes:

Been following your series of the Ram 1500 Classic you’ve recently purchased with great enthusiasm. I wanted to share my 2020 Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman (Quad cab, 2WD 5.7 Hemi V8 with 3.21 axle ratio). It’s been a fantastic road trip, commuter, and work truck in the time I’ve had it. It has great pulling power and good mpg cruising on the highway. Some mods I’ve done to mine include:

– Roll-up tonneau cover

– bed & tailgate mat

– push bumper

– stone & bug deflector

– running boards

– rear mud flaps

– oil filter upgrade & relocation kit

– clutch fan delete & upgraded electric fan

– Air aid intake tube & synthetic filter

– saddle blanket seat covers

– full front floor liner & dash mat

– tool/gun organizer

– Lil Red Express Truck vanity plate

– LED Headlight bulbs

I love that since it’s been in production since 2009, there’s a lot of aftermarket support and parts to modify and upgrade these trucks to how you want. I hope yours serves you well while you have it and I look forward to seeing more content on it.

Victor, thank you for sending in the images and the quick review. Your trip computer shows 25.6 MPG over your last 261.3 miles. This is a very good economy for any V8-powered truck.

Here is one of our older Ike Gauntlet – the world’s toughest towing test runs in a Ram 1500 “Classic” or the DS generation of the Ram pickup truck.
