This midsize pickup truck prototype appears to be wearing a thinly camouflaged Mitsubishi cab and bed. Our friends at Motor1.com recently published these unofficial renderings of the upcoming 2023 Mitsubishi L200 truck.
A simple explanation may be that Mitsubishi is working with Nissan on the next L200 pickup truck for the global market (and not for the USA consumption). They are testing in Colorado because of high altitude roads and various terrain.
Could there be something else hiding within? Could Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Ram be collaborating on a new midsize truck? Could this be the next Dakota? This is only speculation at this time. Although, Ram and Mitsubishi have collaborated on a midsize pickup truck before (Dakota/Raider) – it does not mean that it will happen again.
