Elon Musk announces that the upcoming Tesla Cybertruck will have “brief” capability “as a boat”. He says it will be waterproof enough to cross a river, lake, or sea (if it’s not too choppy).
See his tweet below:

He mentions that the Cybertruck “Needs be able to get from Starbase to South Padre Island, which requires crossing the channel.”
Electric pickup trucks such as the Ford F-150 Lightning and GMC Hummer EV truck have near-perfect 50/50 front-to-back weight distribution so these vehicles could possibly float if they were watertight. However, how would you propel a pickup truck through water such as a sea?
What do you think? Is Elon Musk just trying to gather attention or is this something we should be looking for in the upcoming Cybertruck?
