Here is a new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV prototype pickup truck charging in the wild – at a Walmart Electrify America fast charger in Flagstaff, Arizona. This is obviously a test truck as evidenced by the missing side steps, trim, and non-production lights.
Big thanks to Jaden L. for sending in these images.
Arizona is a great area for hot weather and high-altitude testing. Temperatures get to a scorching level near Phoenix, and the climb up to Flagstaff takes you to 7,000 feet above sea level. Many manufacturers have proving grounds and testing facilities in Arizona.
The Silverado EV truck is built on the Ultium electric platform that also underpins the GMC Hummer EV pickup truck and SUV. However, the Silverado EV truck is longer and narrower than the Hummer truck.
Here are all the details about the upcoming Silverado EV truck in its top-of-the-line RST trim from its world debut.
