Which big and heavy off-road truck will be the winner of this drag race? Will it be a new Ford F-250 Tremor with a 6.7-liter turbo-diesel Power Stroke V8 under the hood with 1,050 lb-ft of torque? Will it be a 702 horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V8 in the Ram TRX? We are about to find out!

The Ford F-250 you see here is a mostly stock Tremor off-road truck. It’s a crew cab 4×4 with a standard bed. It has an off-road suspension and 35-inch all-terrain tires. The V8 turbo-diesel is rated at 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a heavy-duty 10-speed automatic transmission. This truck is equipped with aftermarket air intake and exhaust systems.

The Ram TRX is our long-term test truck. It’s completely stock. The supercharged V8 under the hood is rated at 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. This engine is mated to a beefed-up 8-speed automatic transmission. The TRX is also rolling on large 35-inch all-terrain tires.

Both of these trucks are big and heavy. The TRX weighs nearly 6,500 lbs at the curb. The big diesel Ford weighs significantly more.
