Irony: Thousands of Unfinished Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra Trucks Are Stored At a Closed Microchip Factory in Indiana

The latest reports and images from WISH TV show thousands of new Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra stored in fenced-in parking lots that surround a closed microchip factory in Kokomo, Indiana. Microchips and other component shortages have caused manufacturers to slow down or halt vehicle production in recent months.

WISH TV reports that an estimated 5,000 to 7,000 new unfinished GM trucks are being parked here until they can be finished at the Fort Wayne, IN manufacturing facility. Local sources say that these trucks are delivered and picked up using vehicle transport trucks.
