The 2022 Chevy Tahoe (and Suburban) and 2022 GMC Yukon (and Yukon XL) get thoughtful updates for this model year. This includes more ways to get the 6.2L gas V8 engine option. This is something that many of you have been asking for over the years. Here are the updates.
2022 Chevy Tahoe & Suburban
- The 6.2L V8 engine and its 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque engine is now available on these additional trims: RST, Z71 and Premier. The Tahoe High Country can still be had with a 6.2L V8 as well. This engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Yes, you read that correctly. The 2022 Tahoe Z71 off-road trim can now be had with a 6.2L V8 as well. The Z71 gets even better with an available electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD). This is the same rear differential that is available on the GMC Yukon AT4 off-road model.
The 2022 Tahoe and Suburban are also available with a 12.3-inch diagonal digital gauge cluster on LT trims and above. This is the same screen and technology that we showed you recently in a new 2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2 pickup truck. This system is also available with the Google Assistant functionality.
2022 GMC Yukon & XL
The 2022 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL offer a new color – Redwood Metallic. The 6.2L V8 availability is also expanded to the Yukon AT4. This includes a dual exhaust system. The 12.3-inch digital gauge screen is standard across all Yukons for the 2022 model year. The Google Assistant technology is here as well.
