We get our first hands-on opportunity with several new 2022 Nissan Frontier trucks at the debut event near Sundance, Utah. We learn many new details about the all-new midsize truck from Nissan. It’s entering a highly competitive and growing truck segment in the United States with customer deliveries expected to start in September 2021. The new truck will come with up to 80 different accessories. Here are all the new details about the truck as well as some of the new accessories.
2022 Nissan Frontier
Before we dig into the accessories, here is a quick overview of the new truck. The 2022 Frontier is about five inches longer than the outgoing model, but it roughly maintains its width and height. It makes it one of the smaller midsize trucks on the market, and that’s NOT a bad thing. It is offered in extended and crew cab configurations. There are the King cab, the crew cab, and the crew cab with a longer bed option (long wheelbase).
There is just one power option. It’s a new 3.8-liter gas V6 with 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic. Here are the fuel efficiency estimates that Nissan states for the new 2022 truck.
Here are all the available colors, trim, and some of the optional packages for the new Frontier.
Here are the updates that Nissan make to the new truck’s suspension and cabin to dial-in the ride and reduce noise.
Finally, here are just some of the example of the new accessories that will be available on the 2022 Frontier.
The 2022 Frontier pricing and driving impressions will be announced at 7am EST on August 10, 2021. Please come back to TFLtruck Youtube channel and website for all the details.
