The “perfect” Toyota Tacoma accessory in question is a Boreas XT Camper Trailer. Looks good behind this pickup truck – no?
Andre considers this featured Boreas XT camper trailer an excellent Toyota Tacoma accessory. Why? Think about the folks who take overlanding and adventure driving seriously: they need the rugged capability. We already know that the Toyota Tacoma is as tough as nails. It has an impressive reputation and off-road capability. How about the trailer?
This is TFL Studio’s first official episode of Camper Corner for 2021, and Andre is starting it off with a bang. He brought a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road, which came with a factory two-inch lift to Arvada, Colorado where Boreas Trailers is headquartered.
Having a trailer that can hold its own in the rough, while supplying you with the living necessities you desire is important. This trailer looks like it will do that, and then some. It looks pretty macho behind the Tacoma too. Having it weigh so little is a boon for folks who own vehicles like this Tacoma. Total trailer weight you see here is just over 2,000 lbs.
The 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road has a maximum towing capacity of 6,400 lbs. Off-road-oriented suspensions, like the setup on this Tacoma, can be outstanding in the ruff. Unfortunately, they can limit the payload and towing capability of a vehicle. Having a lighter-weight trailer with a serious off-road (Australian-sourced) suspension helps.
