Video: Here’s Why The Red Bare Is The Ultimate Lightweight Diesel Jeep Gladiator!

Here is what happens when you take a brand new 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with the 3.0L turbo-diesel V6 and turn it into an even more off-road capable and relatively stripped down truck. It’s project “Red Bare”, and Roman, Nathan, and Tommy get to drive it and show it at this year’s 2021 Easter Jeep Safari event in Moab, Utah.

The Red Bare concept is using a 2-inch Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) suspension lift that allows it to fit 37-inch all-terrain tires. We used a very similar lift on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator with 35-inch tires and it worked exceptionally well. Unfortunately, a 37-inch spare tires is not able to be stored under the bed of the truck in a stock location. This concept truck puts the spare into the bed and adds a cargo rack on top of it. You could also come up with other spare tire storage solutions, such as a rear bumper mount.

This truck is showing off half-doors with top covers/windows removed. It has a lightweight soft bimini-style top, and an additional sports bar in the rear to enable more gear storage solutions.
