Ram TRX VIN 001 is headed for Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale.
The first 2021 Ram TRX to roll off the assembly line was a Launch Edition in Anvil Gray. A month after Ram built it, the truck is officially headed for auction. The company announced this example would head to Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Thursday. From there, proceeds from the March 26 sale will go to support United Way for Southeastern Michigan.
“When Ram 1500 TRX VIN 001 rolled off the assembly line last month, it instantly became an incredibly exciting one-of-a-kind collectible truck that enthusiasts will clamor for – especially when it goes through the Barrett-Jackson auction lane in March,” said Ram brand CEO Mike Koval, Jr. “More importantly, we expect this first production Ram 1500 TRX to raise significant funds that will go directly to the United way for Southeastern Michigan’s 2-1-1 helpline to provide services to veterans and their families.”
Naturally, Ram loaded up the VIN 001 truck with every conceivable option the TRX offers. The luxurious TR2 package headlines the list. That includes carbon fiber interior trim, a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, beadlock-capable wheels, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and TRX graphics. It also gets the Rambar chase rack, Mopar rock rails, an in-bed spare tire carrier and Ram’s new Trailer Reverse Steering Control system. All-in, the MSRP for this truck stands at $95,895 including destination.
As for the auction, we expect this TRX to auction well north of that figure. Before heading off to its new owner, the truck will be on display from March 20 to 27.
In case you missed it, we at TFL Studios also took delivery of our own Ram TRX. We’re already putting it through a gauntlet of tests including the Ike Gauntlet – World’s Toughest Towing Test. Check that out below:
