We have a Ford dealer report that the new 2021 Ford F-150 FX4 off-road package will cost $1,005. This is $100 more than what the FX4 package costs now on the 2020 F-150.

2021 Ford F-150
For 2021, the F-150 FX4 package adds a new “Rock Crawl” driving mode to help with traction while negotiating rocks. This is NOT a slow-speed cruise control, which is called “Trail Control”.
The 2021 F-150 4×4 modes include:
- Normal
- Eco
- Tow/Haul
- Sport
- Slippery
- Deep Snow/Sand
- Mud & Ruts
- Rock Crawl
The Rock Crawl is the new addition, but it’s not new to Ford trucks. The Rock Crawl mode was introduced on the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor off-road package. It’s a specific calibration for use in 4-Low that changes transmission, traction control, and other systems in order to improve the truck’s low-speed crawling capability.
