TFLtruck’s 2020 “May Truck Madness” comes to a culmination with this final (5th) episode. This series is all about you deciding on the best off-road truck for 2020.
May #TruckMadness
We picked twelve specialty off-road trucks that are currently on sale in the U.S. These are the best off-road pickups that each manufacturer has to offer. Next, we ranked them based on TFL’s Off-Road Index (ORI). The ORI is a numerical representation of how good a truck or an SUV may be off-road. It is a 0 to 100 scale, and the ORI considers 4×4 system, lockers, ground clearance, skid plates, tires, and more.

Next, we seeded them into a bracket competition the way a college basketball tournament would be. The highest rank takes on the lowest, and so on. Hence – the madness!

We asked you to vote for your favorite trucks, and you responded in a huge way! Within the last month we receive nearly 100,000 votes, 3,600 comments, 275,000 views, and 4.34 million impressions on the #TruckMadness videos we published.
In the end, two trucks worked their ways up through the brackets. They are the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and the Ford F-150 Raptor. In the end, the Ford Raptor claims the #TruckMadness championship by a landslide with 70% of the vote!
We plan to do more #TruckMadness competitions based on the best towing trucks and more. Please let us know if you like this idea, and how we can improve it going forward.
