We Transform Our 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon in a World-Class Overlanding Rig! No Pavement Needed Ep.1 (Video)

This Gladiator is turning into a cool Rubi-Truck!

2020 jeep gladiator rubicon mopar build no pavement needed

We purchased a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon truck several months ago. We originally called it “Gobi Glad” due to it gobi desert exterior color. Now, it’s time to transform the Jeep truck into a proper overland rig in preparation for our Trans-America “No Pavement Needed!” off-road adventure. We plan to take this truck on a cross-country drive without touching pavement on the Trans-America trail.

Jeep Gladiator Build

Jeeps are some of the most customized vehicles on the road today. We are focusing this “Rubi-truck” build on the parts and accessories available through Jeep Performance Parts (‘JPP’ is part of Mopar). The two-inch suspension lift, bumper, wheels, lights, and storage systems are all Jeep-approved and keep the truck’s warranty intact.

Also, we could do this properly without the help of Johnson Auto Plaza – a Jeep dealership in Brighton, Colorado and a certified installer of these parts.

The Gladiator JPP suspension lift comes with all the parts necessary to get it all aligned properly. Specially tuned 2.5-inch body FOX shocks are part of the package as well.

We are also installing a steel Rubicon bumper with a winch mount and a WARN Zeon 10K winch with a synthetic cable. Please join us for this first episode in the “No Pavement Needed” video series.

We are also building a 2020 Ford F-250 7.3-liter V8 truck for this Trans-America trail adventure. This is the truck we call “Super Tremor”. More on this heavy duty truck build very soon!
