We learn a bit more about the upcoming Tesla Cybertruck in this CNBC video preview. Tesla CEO, Elon Musk explains some of the details about the production version of the truck.
Jay Leno’s garage and CNBC recently published a preview of Jay’s test drive of the Tesla Cybertruck prototype. Elon Musk, is riding shotgun to tell Jay all the latest.

Elon Musk tells Jay Leno that the prototype truck is just a little bit too big to fit into most standard garages. He says it needs to be to fit into a garage, as such the company is planning to make the production Cybertruck about 5% smaller than the prototype that was unveiled last year. Elon also says that the proportions of the truck will remain mostly unchanged.
Elon Musk says that the production version of the Cybertruck has to be better than the initial prototype, not tamed down in any way. The Cybertruck is labeled as a 2021 model in this video preview. The dual-motor and tri-motor versions of the Cybertruck are expected to go into production in “late 2021”, according to Tesla.com.

This test drive preview shows Jay and Elon drive from the Tesla Design facility in Hawthorne, California (passed a parked Tesla semi truck), drive past the nearby Space X facility and the towards the Boring tunnel that is meant to transport electric cars and trucks underground. Elon Musk is in charge of all three of these companies (Tesla, SpaceX, and the Boring Company).
Elon Musk reiterates that the Cybertruck will use armored glass and stainless steel door panels that are “bullet proof to hand guns”. Jay Leno asks, why should a truck be bullet proof? Elon Musk answers “because it’s badass”.
