The brand new Jeep Gladiator hasn’t been on sale for long, but now may be a great time to buy one. Not necessarily because they’re seeing heavy discounts, but Jeep is reportedly offering a $1,000 loyalty coupon, according to a CarsDirect report. The brand is sending out a mailer to current owners to try and tempt them into its new truck.
That $1,000 coupon could come in handy, as the Gladiator is now Jeep’s most expensive model, at least right out the gate. Prices start at $33,545 before destination charges and other fees. And that’s just for the base Sport model. Spec out a fully-loaded Gladiator Rubicon, and you could face a sticker price north of $60,000. However, there’s just one catch with the loyalty coupon.

Not every 2020 Jeep Gladiator trim is eligible for the discount. For instance, the Rubicon trim — the trim most buyers seem to spring for — is excluded from the loyalty bonus. The $1,000 does look like an enticing deal for the base Sport or Sport S models, but good luck finding one near sticker price. According to the CarsDirect piece, most dealers are stocking configurations over $40,000, resulting in Overland and Rubicon-heavy lots.
Jeep is currently offering a lease deal on the Gladiator Sport for $276/month for 36 months, with $3,995 due at signing. That deal may incentivize some people into the Gladiator, but it is reportedly more expensive than lease deals earlier on. Still, October is looking more like a month to buy if you’ve been waiting to pull the trigger on a new Gladiator.
