The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 and Denali finally get the new CarbonPro bed option. It’s a carbon-composite inner bed material that gets mated directly to the truck’s frame and outer bed sides. GM says the material is more light-weight than a steel equivalent bed, and it is also “nearly indestructible”. We put it through a real torture test to see if we can damage or puncture the CarbonPro.

The truck and the implements were provided by GMC at a recent first drive event for the 2020 Sierra 1500 Diesel and 2020 GMC HD Diesels. Roman threw an anchor, different cinder blocks, shot put, and bashed it with a baseball bat, a gold club, and steel pipe.
The CarbonPro bed and package are available on the 2020 Sierra 1500 AT4 at a starting price of $61,600. The Denali CarbonPro has a starting price of $70,950. The CarbonPro bed is only available on half-ton crew cab short bed trucks at this time.
In the end, the bed surfaces was scratched, but there were no punctures or damage. Take a look at the video below for all the antics.
