Video Shows What Could be the Next 2020 Nissan Armada (Spied)

Spotted on the roads during a photoshoot, we found this clip of what appears to be a 2020 Nissan Patrol (which is basically the Nissan Armada and very similar to the Infiniti QX80). It’s completely undisguised and it looks like it has an updated exterior design.

While the video is very fuzzy, it clearly shows new sheet metal, new taillights and what looks like new body panels.

The current Nissan Armada is not a big seller in our market. Still, it’s cousin the Infiniti QX80 has proven to be popular among the urban-chic. Los Angeles alone accounts for a huge portion of North American sales of the QX80.

With this in mind, perhaps Nissan is trying to take the Nissan Armada upmarket to bring it to a similar consumer? The Armada and the QX80 are very similar except in styling and interior appointments. Perhaps the styling of the current Armada/Patrol are a bit too mello?

With what little is seen in this video, it’s easy to say that the shapes and design hint at everything from Lincoln to the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

We’re pretty sure that the internals, including the 5.6-liter V8 and 7-speed automatic transmission, will remain the same in our market. Still, there could be some serious improvements Nissan brought to the game.
