The current-generation Lexus LX soldiers on.
For 2020, the Lexus LX 570 continues on with a few minor changes. On three-row models, Lexus is adding the Sport Package to three-row models. While the powertrain remains identical to the 2019 models, you do get some aesthetic changes, as well as some unique touches.
The Sport Package starts off with an exclusive front grille and fascia, as well as a revised lower rear valence and body-colored side mirrors with chrome accents. Inside, Lexus fits leather-trimmed seats in Black, Cabernet or Moonlight White. Opting for the Sport Package also includes the Luxury Package. That adds a 19-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, 21-inch wheels, heated and ventilated front and rear seats and four-zone climate controls. Finally, you get a heated wood steering wheel, a head-up display and wireless phone charging.
Under the hood, the 2020 Lexus LX 570 keeps the same specs as the 2019 model. That means a 5.7-liter V8 engine with 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which retains the LX 570’s towing capacity of 7,000 pounds.
Features like Lexus Safety System+ come standard across the range. The suite includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert and Intelligent High-Beam headlamps.
The 2020 Lexus LX 570 goes on sale in September 2019 with prices starting from $86,380 for the two-row model. That’s a modest increase on 2019’s prices. The three-row model starts at $91,380. However, going for the advertised Sport Package here will spike that price upward to a whopping $99,300. The 2020 Lexus LX 570 with the Sport Package does pack a unique look, but is it really worth nearly $10,000? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
