There is a way to get a significant discount on a brand new 2020 Jeep Gladiator. In this case, it’s a Rubicon Launch Edition truck. On this episode of TFL’s Dude, I Love or Hate My New Ride – we talk with Sunny and Brian about their new purchase.
2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon
The new Gladiator comes in one configuration. It’s a crew cab with a short (5 foot) bed and 4×4. Under the hood is just one engine choice (for now). It’s a 3.6-liter V6 with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.
The Rubicon adds a lot more off-road gear: wider axles with 4.10 gearing, front and rear selectable lockers, disconnecting front sway bar, 33-inch Falken tires, and more.
The Launch Edition is basically a fully optioned Gladiator Rubicon with a few special touches: unique black wheels, special leather trim on the inside, and a rear badge. There will only be 4,190 Launch Edition Gladiators sold. All of this has an MSRP of around $63,000.
Sunny and Brian were able to get a big 14% discount off MSRP. This puts the price of this truck to just over $54,000. This is still a lot of money for a midsize truck, but it offers style, off-road capability, and full convertible open air driving ability all in one package.
Sunny and Brian already made a few modifications to the truck. The dealership put on a 2-inch Jeep Performance Parts lift (for about $1,900). The truck has a shorty radio antenna, and a BesTop soft-top in the front.
