We get a first look at the 2020 Chevy Silverado owner’s manual and notice some interesting optional items and descriptions.
Thanks to TFLtruck viewer (Kyle M.) for pointing out some of these items.
2020 Chevy Silverado
The owner’s manual you see here applies to both the light duty Chevy Silverado and the Silverado HD. The manual shows availability of several parts and features that previously were only available on GMC Sierra trucks.
Although the manual is official, we have not yet been able to officially confirm whether the Silverado HD truck will get these items.
The manual lists instructions for the MultiPro tailgate, the power steps, Heads Up Display (HUD), and some other items such as the rear camera mirror.
Although, the manual shows both the Sierra and Silverado rear bed sections, the lower image indeed shows a short-bed Silverado with the “Multi Pro” tailgate.
Here is a quick description of the Rear Camera Mirror (RCM). It appears to be the same as in the Sierra 1500 and HD trucks.
There are also several pages that describe the Heads Up Display (HUD) features.
Just for fun, here is a diagram of a 6.6-liter gas V8 inside the engine bay of the heavy duty truck.
Personally, I like that Chevrolet is looking to add more options to the Silverado HD and/or the 1500 trucks. Yes, it will add to price of the truck, but more choice is a good thing.
We will be driving the new 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 3.0-liter Diesel and Silverado HD truck this coming week. Stay tuned for lots more coverage on these trucks.
