Here it is – our next Cheap Jeep. It is a 1989 Jeep Comanche pickup truck short bed. It’s a rare beast that we were able to find and purchase in Colorado.
Naturally, it’s a 4×4. It has a 4.0-liter straight-six under the hood and a 5-speed manual transmission. It’s in relatively good condition inside and out, but the transmission is in a bad state.
In this episode (Ep.1, Season 2), we show exactly what we bought. We take it into the mechanic to figure out how to best fix the transmission.
We have big plans for this Cheap Jeep. We want to make it a bit more off-road worthy without taking away from its original charm.
