2019 Ram Rebel 12: A Marriage of Luxury, Technology, and Off-Roading (News)

Ram is bringing new technology and a new level of luxury to its 1500 Rebel off-road focused pickup.

The new 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 12 is headlined by the addition of the new 12-inch touchscreen running the brand’s Uconnect 4C infotainment system. Those that are waiting for real off-road upgrades need not apply; the Rebel 12 is all about technology and luxury.

A new leather-trimmed interior has been added along with heated front seats and new metal speaker grilles in the Rebel’s signature anodized Radar Red finish. Those grilles wrap around the new Harmon Kardon audio system, using 19-speakers in total to pump 900-watts of tunes into the cabin. A 10-inch subwoofer and active noise cancellation are also part of the system.

As mentioned, the mechanical setup on the Rebel remains the same, which means either a 3.6-liter V6 eTorque or a 5.7-liter HEMI (or V8 eTorque) can be had under the hood with the truck offering a two-inch lift, a locking rear differential, 33-inch tires, Bilstein shocks, and skid plates.

The new Rebel 12 is available on all cabs (quad and crew), color and powertrain configurations of the 2019 Rebel, with pricing starting at $48,685 USD including destination. Rebel 12 models will be available starting in the fourth quarter of 2018.
