
What makes the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter all new? The new styling is the obvious changes, but the new Sprinter also gets more engine options, latest safety and infotainment technologies, connected application, and – yes – many cup holders! Roman was in Amsterdam, Netherlands to drive and review the all-new van.
United States will get rear-wheel-drive and 4×4 new Sprinter vans with three engine options. There is a four cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with 187 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The six cylinder turbo-diesel will also produce 187 hp, but a much 324 lb-ft of torque. The smaller four cylinder diesel is also coming with 160 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. Both of the diesels are equipped with the 7-speed automatic transmission, the gasoline engine comes with a 9-speed automatic.
United States will not be getting front-wheel-drive models or the vans with a manual transmission. More U.S. specifications will be available soon.
