Report: Will There Be a 2021 Ram Rebel TRX with Two Monster Engine Options? (Poll)

The new 2019 Ram 1500 is just around the corner (arriving at dealers in March/April), but our wishful thinking minds are already looking forward to a testosterone-laden Ram TRX.  Ram showed a supercharged HEMI V8-powered Rebel TRX concept in Texas in 2016. The concept truck received an overwhelmingly positive response, but the company has not confirmed that a production version of the off-road specialty truck will be coming.

Now, there is a report from the 5thGenRams website/forum that the Ram TRX is coming for the 2021 model year with not one but two monstrous engine options.  5thGenRams sites various unnamed sources.

The report list two engine options for the 2021 Rebel TRX: a 7.0L HEMI V8 (426 cu-in) or a 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 (Hellcat). Interstingly, there is no mention of the 6.4L HEMI V8 (392 cu-in) engine. The report does not list potential power outputs. Given the 550 HP TRX concept power rating, we think (if built) a production TRX pickup truck will also be rated around 550 horsepower.

If the big Rebel TRX was a reality, which engine would you like to see under its hood: a detuned Hellcat supercharged V8, a 392, or a 426?
