Chevy Improves upon the Capability of the Chevy Colorado ZR2: 2017 SEMA [Video]

The Chevy Colorado ZR2 is already one of, if not the most off-road capable midsize trucks you can buy today. However, Chevy thinks that they can improve upon that capability even further. At the 2017 SEMA show, Chevy took some time to show Roman around this improved ZR2.

Colorado ZR2 Modifications

The goal of this truck was increasing the desert running ability of the ZR2 with suspension travel and load being the top priorities, according to Chevy performance engineer Tom Gierman. In order to achieve this improved off-road ability, Chevy have fitted the ZR2 development truck with loads of off-road goodies: a 1.5-inch body lift, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires, rear shock skidplates, a rear differential skidplate, a steel driveshaft, wheel spacers with extended-length wheel studs, an off-road air intake and performance exhaust, to be specific.
