Ram sold more pickup trucks in March 2017 than Chevrolet in the United States. Ram is now the number two selling nameplate in the market (after the Ford F-Series). Buckle up for this sales report! Results like this do not happen very often.
Ram trucks has been in third place for an awfully long time, but a sales push in March takes it over the Chevy Silverado by nearly 4,000 units. Yes, Chevy sold more Silverados over the first three months for the year. However, if this trend continues, Ram could solidify its position as the number two nameplate. It’s noteworthy to mention that Ram had a great sales month without selling the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel models.
When you combine Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra sales, GM trucks together sit firmly in second place. However, Ford F-Series is still number one in March and Year-To-Date (YTD).
