Having you been looking for a way to let the world know you’re into hunting while at the same time advertise for all-things-camo maker Realtree and pay more for a new Silverado? Well, Chevrolet has the answer for you. Joining the ranks of other special edition Silverados like the Rally Edition and Blackout is the Realtree Edition. The Silverado Realtree comes with blacked-out trim, blacked-out bow ties, and you guessed it… blacked-out 20-inch wheels. To top it off, and help you blend into traffic better, are exterior camo graphics. Thankfully, the use of camo was conservative. On the inside, the Realtree trucks get the Realtree logo embroidered on front-seat headrests along with other camo graphics and a Realtree logo. Is that enough Realtree for ya? Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing, said:
“The capability of Chevy trucks has always enabled customers to go where they want to go and that’s the inspiration for the new Silverado Realtree® Edition.”
While Realtree Designer and President Bill Jordan added,
“You just don’t realize how much goes into building a true performance vehicle until you look behind the scenes. The men and women at Chevy truly delivered on this project.”
We’re not sure how the 20-inch wheels fit into the “go where they want to go” theme, or what performance vehicle Mr. Jordan was referring to, as the Realtree Edition gets no performance related parts added to the Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 crew cab on which it’s based. At least the Z71 package gets you Rancho monotube shocks, hill decent control, a locking rear diff., tow hooks, and underbody protection. Those interested should look for the Silverado Realtree Edition to arrive this spring.
