Toyota is closing out the second generation of the Tacoma with a bang. This platform of the class-leading pickup truck has been on sale more over 10 years, and it is still growing in sales numbers. The Tacoma currently outsells all three competitors combined.

Now, the 2016 Tacoma is just around the corner. In fact, it goes on sale next week on September 10th, 2015. GM is countering the Tacoma redesign with availability of the 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine in the 2016 Chevy Colorado and 2016 GMC Canyon.

The Nissan Frontier sales have gone from bad to worse as it goes down -46.2% compared to August of 2014.

We are still waiting for new information about the Honda Ridgeline. An all-new 2016 model is supposed to show up within the next 5-6 months.

Ford and Ram are still out of the smaller pickup truck game. However, a recent report suggests that Ford is bringing the Ranger back to the United States around 2018.
