Ford and MAKE magazine team up on a customized 2014 Ford Transit Connect van (or “unminivan” as Ford likes to call it). The blue “Hackmobile” is a fabrication workshop stocked full of work benches, tools, storage, computers, and more. The interesting red “Happy Mutant Mobile” was designed in collaboration with the web-based Boing Boing magazine.
The interior of the Happy Mutant Mobile is decorated adorned with a wooden floor and green leather upholstery. It houses a mix of oddities and knickknacks, a 3D printer, camera equipment, magazine rack, and computer equipment. There is also a roof-mounted screen for showing outdoor movies.
