This Experimental Chinese Amphibious Truck was spotted at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. Called the Super Aqua Car, this over-30-foot-long, Experimental Chinese Amphibious Truck is based on a truck platform, somewhere under the plywood. The Experimental Chinese Amphibious Truck has paddle-wheel propulsion jutting out of both sides al-la steamboat style.
This Experimental Chinese Amphibious Truck is a mock-up, it was placed at the show looking for development backers.
… and that’s all I got. Yep, there was no additional information in English. As a boat, it makes little sense. Paddle wheels are not commonly used in – well, anything. The size of the vessel is unusual given the small cockpit. If there is a truck underneath, and that’s a big “IF” – it looks entirely too massive to be driven on anything other than pristine roads.
Frankly, it looks like something tested pre-WWII.
What do you think?
I have no friggin’ clue.
Speaking of concepts…
