The Lingenfelter Reaper Package for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado/ GMC Sierra is a comprehensive power and suspension upgrade to make the General Motors pickup trucks competitive with the Ford Raptor. The Lingenfelter Reaper ups the power output of the GM 5.3-liter engine to 475 hp by way of a TVS1900 Magnuson Supercharger and Corsa performance exhaust system. The Lingenfelter Reaper is beefed up with suspension, tire and body upgrades by way of a partnership between Southern Comfort and Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.
The overall output of the 475 HP Lingenfelter supercharger package is much more than the normally aspirated 411 hp Raptor. Ram and Mopar tried something similar with the Ram Runner with mixed results. In the end, the Raptor benefited by having extensive engineering and testing with a full commitment of resources via Ford. The Ram Runner… not so much.
Still, the Lingenfelter Reaper looks like a hell of a beastie, one that The Fast Lane Truck desperately wants to test.
Here’s what comes in the Southern Comfort / Lingenfelter Reaper Package:
“TVS1900 Magnuson Supercharger
Front Clip Restyling
High Clearance Bumper with reinforced skid plate
Integrated rigid flood light system
Daytime LED running lights
Fox Racing suspension
Corsa Performance exhaust package
Reaper 20″ bead lock wheels
33″ Off road tires
Rock guard & side steps
Serialized reaper badging
Auxiliary switch panel
Reaper gauge package
Custom stitched headrest covers” – – 2014 Reaper Truck built in a partnership with Southern Comfort & Lingenfelter Performance Engineering
It’s possible that, with enough consumer interest, a package like this might make its way into the GM truck’s option package. This is bound to be a 20K+ kit and will bring the Silverado/Sierra within the Raptor’s $50,000+ price-tag (I’m thinking about $60,000-ish).
