Volvo Trucks is announcing a great finish to 2013 with a 31% increase in trucks delivered over 2012. That is the total number while North America enjoyed an impressive 17% increase. In North America, the VNM Series, VNL Series, VNX Series and VHD Series all enjoyed sales growth.
“In November 12,332 Volvo trucks were delivered, an increase of 31% compared with the same month last year.
In Europe 5,323 vehicles were delivered during November, up by 39% compared with November 2012. An extensive product renewal is under way with five new truck models; Volvo FH, Volvo FM, Volvo FMX, Volvo FE and Volvo FL.
First quarter production rates in Europe will be adjusted to reflect lower demand, which is a consequence of customers having pre-bought trucks ahead of a more stringent emission regulation coming into force 1 January 2014.
November deliveries in North America increased 17% to 2,630 vehicles in comparison with the same period last year.
November deliveries in South America increased 57% to 2,689 trucks compared with November 2012.
