The 2013 Ford F-150 Limited trim level sits atop of the F-150 line. It is positioned above the King Ranch and the Platinum models and has a predetermined configuration. The F-150 Limited can only be had in a SuperCrew short-bed configuration, with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 being the only power plant option. It comes with unique 22-inch rims and 275/45R22 Pirelli Scorpion all-terrain performance tires. It has nearly every possible option checked off, and the only items you can change are: color, 4×2 versus 4×4, and 3.55 versus 3.73 rear end. There are a few other minor options you can add, such as: tailgate step, spray-in bed-liner, and bed extender. This test truck also had the helpful big 36-gallon fuel tank option at no extra charge.
We already know (from Ike Gauntlet extreme towing test) that this Ford is a beast at towing. We also tested it at 0-60 MPH with a without our test boat in tow. However, this luxurious pickup is still a 4×4 truck, and we wanted to find out how it does in the dirt and when the path gets steep and rocky.
