This Mercedes-Benz Unimog is still in very good shape and ready to serve. This is one vehicle that is not afraid of a harsh Colorado Mountain winter, or any other off-road terrain. It is configured as a flat-bed, but can be easily converted to haul many kinds of cargo.
The “Katastrophenschutz” label on the door suggests that this Unimog was used for civil service at some point of its life.
This S404 truck is equipped with a 2.2-liter gasoline motor that made 82 horsepower when it was new. It has six forward and two reverse gears. Naturally, it’s equipped with a low range transfer case and special axles for maximum ground clearance. Top speed of this truck is right at 66 MPH, but it will feel more at home going slowly off-road.
The interior is straight-forward and to the point. All the levers and gauges are easily accessible.
