The first quarter of 2025 numbers are in. It’s time to check how the full-size and HD pickup truck market is doing. This represents the best-selling vehicle list in the United States. The results are mixed, and the overall sales improved by 7.4%. Let’s dig in!
General Motors still holds the distinction of selling the most pickup trucks when you combine their Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra brands. Silverado HD and Sierra LD trucks are leading the way for GM (see below). The Ford F-series is still the best-selling truck brand. Ford had a great Q1 with F-150 and Super Duty combined sales improving by 24.5%.
Ram Truck sales continues to decline. The Ram Truck brand sales are down -11.8%. Toyota Tundra sales growth has slowed, and the Tundra brand is down -1.8% when compared to Q1 2024.
Tesla and Rivian do not report sales for their respective pickup truck brands. We will fill this data in as soon as possible based on U.S. purchase registration data.
