Chevrolet unveils the all-new 2022 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss model to kick off the new model year. While the truck itself continues with the existing chassis and powertrain choices – the Trail Boss brings another dimension to off-road truck offerings from Chevrolet.
The new 2022 Colorado Trail Boss has the following:
- 1-inch leveling suspension lift
- Front and mid-vehicle skid plates
- 17-inch Colorado ZR2 wheels
- Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar tires
- Red tow hooks
- Front air-dam delete
The 2022 Colorado Trail Boss will be available for sale in the summer of 2021, according to the company.
The rest of the Chevy Colorado lineup continues for 2022 without significant changes. The 2.5-liter gasoline I4 is still the base engine, while the 3.6-liter gas V6 and the 2.8-liter turbo-diesel I4 round out the choices.
The 2022 Colorado lineup starts with the WT (Work Truck) model. The Colorado LT, Z71, and ZR2 are also available. We hope to test the latest Trail Boss model soon. In the meantime, here is a close look at how the current Chevy Colorado Z71 compares to the GMC Canyon AT4 off-road model.
