This is perhaps the closest look we have so far at the upcoming all-new 2020 Chevy Silverado HD trucks. This crew cab prototype was caught in a public area in Michigan. The source tells us that the truck you see here is a 3500 (1-ton single rear wheel) in the top of the line High Country trim.

The large 20-inch rims do look fancy enough for the luxurious High Country trim, but could also be at home on a new 2020 GMC Sierra HD. One clue that this is indeed a Silverado HD is the front lower grille area. It shows horizontal tow hooks and fog lights that are part of the Chevrolet design.

Check out the side-mounted bed step. This is a unique feature that will help people to step up and reach into the bed. Trucks are getting ever bigger and taller these days. Any additional step will be a big help.

The relatively aggressive Goodyear tires and the red shocks (could be Rancho) point the way of a Z71 package. Indeed you can combine the Z71 off-road package with several trim levels, and it looks like this luxurious High Country could have it too.

Finally, we gotta talk about the side towing mirrors.  They are now a single-post design, but the glass area looks similar to the existing towing mirrors. They are broken into two sections and there are still two LEDs that help light up the area to the side and rear of the truck when backing up or hooking up to a trailer.

Take a look at a few more details on the prototype here.
