The June 2018 truck sales numbers are in, and Ford F-Series continues its lead in the United States full-size pickup truck market. General Motors started to report their sales numbers on a quarterly basis only, and this is the time to get Q2 2018 numbers. We took the total number of Chevy and GMC trucks sold in the last quarter and divided by three to come up with a 3-month average.
If Ford continues with same sales performance over the second half of 2018, the company will eclipse 900,000 F-Series trucks sold for the year. We will have to wait and see if that round number will be possible. General Motors had a successful second quarter and first half of the year. Total Silverado and Sierra trucks sold for the year is greater than the same period last year. Together GM sold 391,948 full-size trucks for the first half of 2018.
Toyota Tundra continues with a solid sales performance and a small increase year-over-year. While the Nissan Titan continues to struggle with a small decrease in sales compared to last year.
