Ford and Hot Wheels collaborate to create a one of kind 2014 Ford Transit Connect Hot Wheels van. It’s got all the ingredients for a wild SEMA-bound concept, and it brings a Hot Wheels toy van to life. Customer builder, Ice 9 Group, worked with Ford and Hot Wheels designers to make sure the real-life Transit Connect matches the spirit of the toy.
This van was built-up from the bare chassis with gull-wing rear doors, unique front and rear facias, 55-inch TV screen, and custom Recaro seats up front. It’s powered by a 2.5-liter four cylinder engine from a base Transit Connect, and has a hitch to tow another toy behind – the 2012 Rip Rod.
2014 Ford Transit Connect goes on sale early next year in commercial and family van configurations, but do not expect the gull-wing door or the big screen in the production version.
