Do you like the idea of a supercharged V8 2021 Ram Rebel TRX off-road truck! We have two new images that may shed light on what Ram is working on for this Ford Raptor competitor.

This is unofficial information, and Ram has not commented on this yet.

We do not have a lot of official information about the upcoming TRX off-road truck, but we do have these two exclusive leaked image of the gauge cluster and the 4WD system controls. It shows the rpm redline, 1/4-mile drag race timer, permanent 4WD Auto (no 2WD), Launch Control mode, and a lack of a rotary transmission shift knob.

The redline is marked at around 5,750 rpm, which is about the same as it is on a Dodge Challenger Hellcat (for example). We guess it still means that there is a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 under the hood of this prototype truck. How much power are we talking about? We do not know for sure yet. It may be as much as 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The engine is likely still mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The screen also shows two graphics for what appears to be drive mode selections and shock stiffness selection. The rumor has it that the TRX will be using adjustable shocks by Bilstein.

The 4-wheel-drive system controller area that normally houses a rotary transmission shifter dial on the 2020 Ram 1500 and most HD trucks has nothing to do transmission gear selection, according to this prototype image. It offers full-time 4WD Auto mode. No 2WD mode, but still has 4WD High and 4WD Low. The axle lock is available, as well as slow speed crawl control and the traction control disable button. There is also a big fat Launch button, and TRX drive mode selection switches.

Let us know if we have missed anything in these leaked prototype images.
